Snowflake Stock Surges 10%

Snowflake Inc. (SNOW) jumped 10.15 percent to $198.17 on Thursday, gaining $19.05. The other day, the company reported strong revenue growth for the first quarter of 2025. Revenue rose to $1.04 billion, up from $828.7 million in the same period last year, beating market expectations.

The stock opened at $192.00 and climbed as high as $201.18 during the session, with volume surging to 16.9 million shares, well above the average of 5.4 million on the New York Stock Exchange. Snowflake closed the prior session at $179.12. Snowflake shares have traded between $107.13 and $201.18 over the past 52 weeks.

Despite the revenue growth, the company posted a net loss of $430.0 million, widening from a loss of $317.8 million a year ago.
