SolarEdge Technologies, Inc. (SEDG), a global smart energy leader, has launched operations at its new manufacturing site in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The facility began producing and shipping the U.S.-specific SolarEdge Home Battery in Q1, marking a significant step in the company's strategy to strengthen domestic manufacturing and support U.S. energy independence.

The Utah facility is part of SolarEdge's broader plan to grow its American production capabilities. It joins existing sites in Florida and Texas, collectively creating over 2,000 jobs. With this expansion, the company now manufactures its entire U.S. residential suite, battery, inverter, and Power Optimizer within the country, helping meet domestic content requirements and boosting clean energy job creation.

U.S. Representative Celeste Maloy - R-Utah-2 praised the initiative, calling it a sign that Utah is playing a key role in America's energy future through local production of battery storage technologies.

The SolarEdge Home Battery, built at the Utah site, is a high-capacity system designed for seamless integration with the company's optimized inverters and power optimizers. It includes a dedicated SKU to simplify tracking and compliance with domestic content regulations, offering reliable and incentive-ready solar-plus-storage solutions for various users, including homeowners and commercial operators.

Marty Rogers, General Manager at SolarEdge, emphasized the company's long-term commitment to U.S. manufacturing. He highlighted how federal energy tax credits have enabled SolarEdge to onshore production and contribute to the country's energy infrastructure. Rogers urged lawmakers to maintain these incentives to support continued domestic growth and energy innovation.

SEDG currently trades at $19.11, or 0.97% higher on the NasdaqGS.
