English singer, songwriter, radio DJ and podcaster Rick Astley was recognized for his enduring impact at the Silver Clef Awards in London, where he received the prestigious Outstanding Achievement in Music Award.
BMG's Alistair Norbury, President, UK, Europe & APAC, presented the award to him.
"To be recognized with the Outstanding Achievement in Music Award is a big moment for me," Astley said. "Music gives us all an opportunity to connect, and I've been fortunate to share that connection with so many people over the years. Knowing that Nordoff and Robbins uses music to create real change for those who need it most makes this award feel even more special. I'm proud to support their incredible work."
Astley's iconic track "Never Gonna Give You Up" recently earned him a place in the Spotify's exclusive Billions Club, a testament to its timeless appeal. It was a No. 1 hit in more than 25 countries, winning the 1988 Brit Award for Best British Single.
