Obstructive Sleep Apnea is a chronic medical condition in which the upper airways become blocked during sleep, often leading to brief pauses in breathing. Nearly 30 million Americans are affected by OSA, and an estimated 80% of cases remain undiagnosed, according to the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. If left untreated, OSA is said to increase the risk of comorbidities, such as high blood pressure, heart failure, stroke, diabetes, dementia, chronic pain, and other debilitating, life-threatening diseases.

The company we are profiling today is Vivos Therapeutics Inc. (VVOS), a revenue-generating medical technology company developing non-invasive treatments for obstructive sleep apnea.

Major central banks continued to dominate the economic news flow this week too, led by the Federal Reserve, as they announced their latest policy decisions. The Federal Reserve policy session was in focus as it was the first to be led by the new chief Kevin Warsh. In Europe, central banks of the U.K. and Switzerland announced their rate decisions. In Asia, the Bank of Japan drew attention for its policy moves, while data out of China threw some light on the state of the economy.
