Bloomsbury Publishing Plc (BMY.L) on Wednesday said that it expects full-year results in line with consensus expectations. In its latest trading update, the independent publishing company said that in the Consumer Division, Sarah J Maas continued to dominate bestseller lists in the UK and US with the paperback release of House of Flame and Shadow in June. The company said that it was also named Publisher of the Year at the 2025 British Book Awards.
According to Bloomsbury Publishing, in its Non-Consumer Division, integration of Rowman & Littlefield progressed with over 5,300 titles digitised for Bloomsbury Digital Resources. The company added that it also signed the first non-exclusive content partnership and expanded internationally by opening a new office in Singapore to tap into the growing student population in that region.
At an operational level, the company shifted its UK distribution to Hachette UK Distribution, with the aim of improving logistics and removing supply chain roadblocks. Bloomsbury Publishing said that it is on track to carry out its Bloomsbury 2030 strategy, focusing on growth, portfolio diversification, and people.
The company added that further updates will be announced when the interim results will be published on October 23.
