Statkraft Reports Pre-tax Loss In Q2

Statkraft AS (XS277979233.MU), a renewable energy company, Tuesday reported a loss before tax of NOK 5.116 billion for the second quarter, compared with profit before tax of NOK 1.069 billion in the same quarter a year ago, primarily due to loss in equity accounted investments as well as currency effects.

Operating loss increased to NOK 1.985 billion from NOK 1.015 billion loss in the prior year. On an underlying basis, the company posted operating profit NOK 2.513 billion, lower than NOK 4.923 billion a year ago.

Net loss was NOK 6.589 billion higher than NOK 1.074 billion loss last year.

Net operating revenues and other income grew to NOK 10.102 billion from NOK 9.887 billion in the previous year, while underlying operating revenues and other income decreased to NOK 9.258 billion from NOK 11.237 billion last year.

Sales revenues decreased to NOK 15.596 billion from NOK 19.085 billion a year ago.
