LENZ Therapeutics Inc. (LENZ) is gearing up for a key regulatory catalyst that could prove to be a defining moment for the company.

The company's lead product candidate, LNZ100, proposed for the treatment of presbyopia, is under FDA review, with a decision expected on August 8, 2025.

Presbyopia is the age-related decline in near vision that occurs as the eye gradually loses its ability to focus on close objects, resulting in blurry near vision. About 128 million people in the U.S. are impacted by presbyopia. Currently, there are only two FDA-approved eye drop solutions for the treatment of presbyopia - AbbVie Inc.'s Vuity and Orasis Pharmaceuticals' Qlosi.
