FirstGroup Plc. (FGROY.PK), a provider of public transport services, on Monday announced that it has acquired Tetley's Motor Services, a Leeds-based bus and coach operator with over 75 years of service.
Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed by the company.
Tetley's Coaches operates 55 vehicles from its Central Leeds depot near First Bus's Hunslet Park site. The company provides services across West Yorkshire, with many contracts recently renewed.
Managing Director Ian Tetley will remain as a Director during integration into First Bus.
For the year ending March 31, 2024, it reported 5.3 million euros in revenue and 1.4 million euros in EBIT.
FirstGroup CEO Graham Sutherland said that the acquisition of Tetley's Coaches strengthens the Group's contract base and complements its existing adjacent services, enhancing its presence in a key market.
