The company's earnings came in at RMB1.250 billion, or RMB0.49 per share. This compares with RMB871.103 million, or RMB0.34 per share, last year.
Excluding items, Luckin Coffee Inc. reported adjusted earnings of RMB1.398 billion or RMB0.55 per share for the period.
The company's revenue for the period rose 47.1% to RMB12.358 billion from RMB8.402 billion last year.

This second-quarter revenue growth was primarily driven by a 46.2% year-over-year increase in gross merchandise value (GMV), which reached RMB14.2 billion, as a result of an increase in the number of products sold resulting from growth in the number of stores in operation, as well as monthly transacting customers.
For the second quarter, the firm posted net income per ADS of RMB 3.92, higher than RMB 2.72 in the same period last year. Adjusted profit per ADS also moved up to RMB 4.40 from the prior year’s RMB 3.04.
