Adverum Biotechnologies Inc. (ADVM), a clinical-stage company pioneering the use of gene therapy for ocular diseases, has a key clinical trial catalyst to watch in the coming months involving its potential One And Done therapy for wet AMD, Ixo-vec.

Ixo-vec is an adeno-associated virus (AAV) gene therapy that utilizes the AAV.7m8 capsid for intravitreal delivery (IVT) to transduce retinal tissue and produce sustained intraocular aflibercept for long-term wet AMD management and preservation of vision.

Major central banks continued to dominate the economic news flow this week too, led by the Federal Reserve, as they announced their latest policy decisions. The Federal Reserve policy session was in focus as it was the first to be led by the new chief Kevin Warsh. In Europe, central banks of the U.K. and Switzerland announced their rate decisions. In Asia, the Bank of Japan drew attention for its policy moves, while data out of China threw some light on the state of the economy.
