Bavarian Nordic A/S (BAVA.CO,BVNKF) Friday reported higher second-quarter results, helped by good performances in both Travel Health and Public Preparedness businesses. The company also adjusted its revenue outlook downward for the year ahead.
The Danish biotechnology company posted second-quarter profit of 363.57 million Danish Kroner, higher than profit of 261.13 million Kroner in the same year last year.
According to Bavarian Nordic, pre-tax profit rose to 373.35 million Kroner from 265.99 million Kroner in the year-ago quarter.
During the three-month period, the company's revenue climbed to 1.65 billion Kroner from 1.43 billion Kroner in the previous-year quarter. EBIT for the period also rose to 370.96 million Kroner from 265.89 million Kroner in the second quarter of 2024.
Looking ahead, Bavarian Nordic narrowed its revenue expectations for fiscal 2025 to between 6.00 billion Kroner and 6.60 billion Kroner from the earlier mentioned range of 5.70 billion Kroner-6.70 Kroner. This was done to highlight the higher revenue from Travel Health and a narrower revenue interval for the Public Preparedness business, the company added.
Bavarian Nordic said that the EBITDA margin before special items outlook remains unchanged at 26 percent-30 percent.
