EchoStar Corporation (SATS) shares soared 75.73 percent to $52.51, rising $22.63 after AT&T agreed to acquire certain wireless spectrum licenses from the company for about $23 billion. The deal marks one of the largest U.S. spectrum transactions in recent years. The stock opened at $54.11 and traded between $51.89 and $55.19, compared with a previous close of $29.88 on the Nasdaq. Trading volume surged to 34.1 million shares, far exceeding the average of 3.6 million. EchoStar now sits near the top of its 52-week range of $14.90 to $55.19.
