OptimUM-09 is a phase II trial evaluating the company's lead oral drug candidate, Darovasertib, in the neoadjuvant setting of primary uveal melanoma.
Uveal melanoma (UM) is a rare but serious type of eye cancer that starts in the uveal tract, the part of the eye that includes the iris, ciliary body, and choroid. Current treatment options include radiation therapy, surgical removal of the tumor, or removal of the eye (enucleation) in severe cases.
