John Fogerty's new Legacy: The Creedence Clearwater Revival Years (John's Version) collection has debuted in the top 10 of Billboard's Top Album Sales chart.
The set bowed at No. 9 with nearly 8,000 copies sold in the United States in the week ending August 28, according to Luminate.
Fogerty's Legacy: The Creedence Clearwater Revival Years is a 20-track collection in which he revisits his former band's greatest songs, re-recorded with bassist Bob Glaub and drummer Matt Chamberlain, alongside his sons Shane and Tyler on guitar.
The project debuts at No. 13 on the Americana/Folk Albums chart and No. 35 on the Independent Albums chart.
The new album features re-recordings of several Creedence Clearwater Revival Hot 100 classics, including "Proud Mary," "Bad Moon Rising," "Down on the Corner," and "Up Around the Bend," each of which originally peaked in the top five.
