Singer-songwriter and bassist Thundercat recently dropped a new double single, "I Wish I Didn't Waste Your Time" and "Children of the Baked Potato," featuring Remi Wolf, his first original music in two years.
Thundercat enlisted producer and multi-instrumentalist Greg Kurstin for both singles.
"[Remi's] a child of the Baked Potato like me," Thundercat shared of the collaboration in a release. "She knew exactly what the song needed. And it was wild to watch her make it happen. The more I listen to the song, it's clear there was no one better I could have picked."
The songs mark Thundercat's first new music since 2023. His most recent album, It Is What It Is (2020), debuted at No. 38 on the Billboard 200.
Since then, he has appeared on tracks with Silk Sonic, Tame Impala, Justice, Kaytranada, Gorillaz, and DOMi & JD BECK.
