Shares of Kodiak Sciences Inc. (KOD) hit a new high of $16.30 during intraday trading yesterday, driven by momentum around its three late-stage drug candidates, which are designed to overcome major shortcomings of current treatments for a wide range of retinal diseases.
The company's pipeline includes Tarcocimab, KSI-501, and KSI-101.
-- Tarcocimab, an anti-VEGF Antibody Biopolymer Conjugate (ABC), is the most advanced drug candidate in the pipeline. It has completed phase 3 studies in three major retinal diseases, including Diabetic Retinopathy, Retinal Vein Occlusion, and Wet Age-Related Macular Degeneration. Two new phase 3 studies, dubbed the GLOW2 Study in diabetic retinopathy and the DAYBREAK Study in wet AMD, are underway.

The Federal Reserve policy session was in focus as it was the first to be led by the new chief Kevin Warsh. In Europe, central banks of the U.K. and Switzerland announced their rate decisions. In Asia, the Bank of Japan drew attention for its policy moves, while data out of China threw some light on the state of the economy.
