Digital Garage Inc. (4819.T), the operator of Japanese third-party payment platform AppPay, Wednesday said that it signed an important partnership with Coda Payments Pte Ltd, a Singapore-based provider of digital monetization services, to speed up revenue growth for games publishers by using out-of-app monetization and distribution solutions.

The deal will offer Japanese game publishers a golden opportunity for global growth and make it easy for international game publishers to enter Japan, which is one of the largest gaming markets in the world.

With the partnership coming in place, Japanese gamers will get access to a wider range of international titles, diverse payment options, and loyalty programs that enrich their experience. For Japanese publishers, the collaboration enables global expansion through Coda's MoR model, supported by Digital Garage's marketing, multilingual support, website development, and analytics.

Global publishers entering Japan benefit from AppPay's trusted platform, backed by Digital Garage's payments infrastructure processing over 7.5 trillion yen on an annual basis, thus ensuring a secure and safe entry into the Japanese gaming industry.

Commenting on the partnership, Junichi Sakishima, Executive Officer, Head of App Business Division, Digital Garage, said, "Japan is the third largest gaming market in the world and Japanese entertainment content is more popular globally than ever. The collaboration between Digital Garage and Coda, the leading players in their respective markets, will further drive growth of game publishers and content owners and stakeholders by building a platform that creates new business opportunities globally beyond payments."
