Kapsch TrafficCom (BZ6.F), a provider of transportation solutions for sustainable mobility, Thursday announced that it received a contract for new toll infrastructure for highway in Basque Country, Spain.
In June 2025, Kapsch TrafficCom got a new contract to renew the toll collection area at Zarautz Este in Gipuzkoa, Basque Country. The contract is valued at 3.3 million euros and is expected to be completed over a period of 13 months and 2 weeks. Once finished, the new toll collection system will offer efficient payment experience for drivers traveling on the AP-8 motorway, a key route in northern Spain. The project includes a 50 percent share of civil works, which will be executed by Kapsch TrafficCom and its partner Construcciones Amenabar. The company previously delivered Irun Ventas, Irun MO and Orio toll renovation projects in December 2024, where toll systems were improved to ease the traffic flow by adding many payment methods to benefit the users. On the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, the stock was trading 1.65 percent higher at 7.40 pence.
