Mariah The Scientist recently released a music video for her latest single, "Is It A Crime," featuring Kali Uchis, via Epic Records. The song is from Mariah's fourth studio album, Hearts Sold Separately.
The Claire Bishara-directed visual stars both Mariah and Uchis.
The video sees Mariah deal with the fallout from the events of a trailer that was previously shared. This includes a shooting involving rapper Karrahbooo that marked the early stages of the "war on love."
Mariah, who plays Karrahbooo's lawyer, pleads and negotiates with authorities on her client's behalf.
"Tell me, what's it to ya? Tell me, is it a crime / To fall, to fall in love, in love a couple times?" she sings on the chorus.
Uchis appears as a defense team member, joining Mariah in the efforts to save Karrahboo from her impending legal demise.
"Is It a Crime" marks Mariah and Uchis' first-ever collaboration.
