Wipro Q2 Profit Rises On Revenue Growth

Wipro Limited (WIT), a technology services and consulting company, on Thursday reported higher profit for the second quarter, mainly helped by growth in revenue.

The company posted a profit of INR 32.462 billion, or INR 3.09 per share, for the second quarter, up from INR 32.088 billion, or INR 3.06 per share, for the same period a year ago.

Results from operating activities increased to INR 37.829 billion from INR 37.149 billion last year.

Revenue for the quarter grew to INR 226.973 billion from INR 223.016 billion in the prior-year period. The IT services segment reported revenue of $2.604 billion, up 0.7% quarter-on-quarter but down 2.1% year-on-year.

Looking ahead to the third quarter, Wipro expects IT services revenue to be in the range of $2.591 billion to $2.644 billion, implying sequential growth of -0.5% to +1.5% in constant currency terms.

"Our revenue momentum is strengthening, with Europe and APMEA returning to growth, and our operating margins holding steady within the narrow band. Bookings surpassed $9.5 billion for H1 FY26. Wipro shares were up 1.82% in pre-market trading on the NYSE, after closing at $2.74, up 0.37% on Wednesday.
