Celcuity Provides Encouraging Gedatolisib Updates In Breast And Prostate Cancer Studies

Shares of Celcuity Inc. (CELC) are up over 45% at $75 in premarket trading on Monday, driven by a series of encouraging updates related to its lead drug candidate, Gedatolisib. At one point during premarket trading, the stock briefly touched $100 before settling lower.

Gedatolisib, a potent pan-PI3K and mTOR inhibitor, is currently being evaluated in oncology indications like metastatic castration resistant prostate cancer and HR+/HER2- advanced breast cancer.

Major central banks continued to dominate the economic news flow this week too, led by the Federal Reserve, as they announced their latest policy decisions. The Federal Reserve policy session was in focus as it was the first to be led by the new chief Kevin Warsh. In Europe, central banks of the U.K. and Switzerland announced their rate decisions. In Asia, the Bank of Japan drew attention for its policy moves, while data out of China threw some light on the state of the economy.
