Singapore's industrial production expanded markedly in September after a renewed contraction in August, the Economic Development Board said Friday.
Manufacturing output surged 16.1 percent in September from a year ago, reversing a 9.0 decrease in August. Output was expected to increase by 0.5 percent. Further, this was the fastest growth since August 2024.
Excluding biomedical manufacturing, production grew 16.1 percent, in contrast to the 9.0 percent increase in the previous month.
