Prevas AB (PREV-B.ST), a technical consultancy service provider, Friday reported increased profit for the third quarter compared to last year, amid slightly higher sales.
On the Stockholm Stock Exchange, Prevas' shares were trading 18.78 percent higher at 76.90 Swedish Kronor.
The company's profit for the period attributable to owners of the parent rose to SEK 17.24 million from SEK 9.63 million for the comparable period.
For the three-month period, earnings per share grew to SEK 1.34 from SEK 0.75 a year ago.
Prevas' earnings before interest and tax or EBIT were SEK 26.14 million, higher than SEK 17.90 million in the prior year.
The company's EBITA amounted to SEK 30.0 million, an increase of 13.2 percent from SEK 26.5 million the earlier year.
For the reported period, net sales grew to SEK 355.22 million from SEK 351.90 million last year.
Prevas added that it continues to focus on initiatives on customer value, innovation and growth to accomplish their goals and has strengthened its position.
