Woori Financial Group Inc. (WF), a banking and financial services holdings company, on Wednesday reported a decline in earnings for the third quarter, as sales weakened compared with the same period last year.
Net income from continuing operations before income tax fell 13.98% year-on-year to KRW 949.823 billion, from KRW 1.104 trillion in the third quarter of 2024.
Operating profit decreased 12.63% to KRW 953.514 billion, compared with KRW 1.091 trillion a year ago.
Net income attributable to shareholders of the parent company dropped 13.54% to KRW 735.604 billion, compared with KRW 850.849 billion a year earlier.
Sales for the quarter amounted to KRW 5.062 trillion, down 19.75% from KRW 6.308 trillion in the third quarter of 2024.
