Kia Corporation 9-Month Net Profit Slips, But Sales Improve

Kia Corporation (000270.KS), a South Korean automaker, on Friday recorded a decline in net profit for the nine-month period. However, the company recorded an increase in sales revenue.

For the 9-month period, the automaker recorded a net income of KRW 6.083 trillion, down 24.3% from the same period last year. Pre-tax profit stood at KRW 8.130 trillion, down 26.5% from the prior year.

Operating profit was KRW 7.236 trillion, down 27.3% from last year. Sales revenue stood at KRW 86.053 trillion, up 7.2% from the previous year.
