Hotel Shilla Co. Ltd. (008775.KS) reported Tuesday an operating profit in its third quarter, compared to prior year's loss, with slightly higher revenues.
In the quarter, operating profit was 11.4 billion Korean won, compared to last year's loss of 17.0 billion won. Operating profit margin was 1.1 percent, compared to negative 1.7 percent a year ago.
Revenue edged up 0.9 percent to 1.03 trillion won from 1.02 trillion won in the prior year.
Travel Retail business revenue increased 0.6 percent year-over-year to 849.6 billion won, and Hotel & Leisure business revenues grew 2.7 percent to 176.1 billion won.
In South Korea, Hotel Shilla shares closed Tuesday's trading at 39,200.00 won, down 0.25 percent.
