HYBE Slips To Loss In Q3, Despite Strong Sales Growth

HYBE Co., Ltd. (352820.KS), a South Korean entertainment company, reported Monday a loss in its third quarter compared to prior year's profit, despite strong growth in sales.

In the quarter, net loss attributable to shareholders of parent company was 50.27 billion Korean won, compared to last year's profit of 6.37 billion won.

Net loss from continuing operation before income tax was 29.94 billion won, wider than loss of 6.56 billion won a year ago.

Operating loss was 42.20 billion won, compared to profit of 54.19 billion won last year.

Sales, however, climbed 37.8 percent to 727.18 billion won from 527.85 billion won a year ago.
