Genus PLC (GNS.L), an animal genetics company, said on Wednesday that its trading for the four-month period to October 31 was strong.
Jorgen Kokke, CEO of Genus, said: "Genus has made a strong start to the year with PIC continuing to demonstrate its robust growth model. ABS profit performance has been slightly lower than expected but we expect stronger performance in the second half. We look forward to the rest of the year with confidence."
Looking ahead, for the full year, the Group expects its adjusted profit before tax to be modestly ahead of the midpoint of current market expectations for adjusted pre-tax income of GBP 77.6 million to GBP 85 million. The average midpoint of this range is GBP 80.5 million.
Genus will release its first-half earnings report on February 26, 2026.
