Nokian Tyres To Axe 35 White-Collar Permanent Roles In Finland With Temporary Layoffs Of 650 Jobs

Nokian Tyres PLC (NRE.BE,NKRKY,TYRES.HE) said on Monday that it will axe 35 white-collar permanent staff in Finland as part of its restructuring program to boost financial performance and operational efficiency.

"The adjustment measures also include temporary layoffs of approximately 650 blue-collar and white-collar employees in passenger car and heavy tire production in Nokia, Finland, for a maximum period of 90 days per person by the end of 2026," the company said.

The measures will be implemented by the end of 2025.  

The negotiations involved white-collar staff in Group functions and all business units, as well as both blue- and white-collar employees in passenger car and heavy tire production in Nokia, Finland.

In addition, the Finnish firm noted that necessary processes have been carried out in other countries as part of its restructuring program.
