Abercrombie & Fitch Boosts FY25 Outlook As Q3 Results Top Estimates; Shares Jump 18%

While reporting financial results for the third quarter on Tuesday, specialty retailer Abercrombie & Fitch Co. (ANF) initiated adjusted earnings and net sales growth guidance for the fourth quarter and raised outlook for the full-year 2025.

For the fourth quarter, the company expects earnings in a range of $3.40 to $3.70 per share on net sales growth of 4 to 6 percent.

On average, analysts polled expect the company to report earnings of $3.59 per share on revenue growth of 5.40 percent to $1.67 billion for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Looking ahead to fiscal 2025, the company now projects earnings in a range of $10.20 to $10.50 per share on net sales growth of 6 to 7 percent.

Previously, the company expected earnings in the range of $10.00 to $10.50 per share on net sales decline of 5 to 7 percent.

The Street is looking for earnings of $10.06 per share on revenue growth of 6.06 percent to $5.25 billion for the year.

For the third quarter, the company reported net income attributable to A&F of $113.0 million or $2.36 per share, down from $131.98 million or $2.50 per share in the prior-year quarter. The Street was looking for earnings of $2.16 per share for the quarter.

Net sales for the quarter grew 7 percent to a record of $1.29 billion from $1.21 billion in the same quarter last year. Comparable sales grew 3 percent. Analysts expected net sales of $1.28 billion for the quarter.
