Mitchells & Butlers PLC (MLB,MAB.L,MBPFF), a British operator of pubs, bars, and restaurants, on Friday reported a rise in earnings for the full year, supported by increased revenue.

For the 12-month period to September 27, the company posted a pre-tax profit of GBP 238 million, higher than GBP 199 million last year. Before separately disclosed items, profit before tax stood at GBP 246 million as against the prior year's GBP 211 million.

Net income was GBP 177 million, or 29.5 pence per share, compared with GBP 149 million, or 24.8 pence per share, a year ago. Before separately disclosed items, profit moved up to GBP 184 million, or 30.6 pence per share, from GBP 157 million, or 26.2 pence per share, in the prior year.

Operating earnings were GBP 322 million, higher than GBP 300 million in 2024.

Revenue was GBP 2.711 billion, up from GBP 2.610 billion in the previous year.

Looking ahead, the company said: "During FY 2026 we anticipate cost headwinds of c.£130m, representing slightly less than 6% of our cost base before mitigation, driven by annualisation of labour cost increases, plus further increases in the statutory thresholds, and increased levels of food cost inflation."
