Ovid Therapeutics Inc. (OVID) on Tuesday announced the appointment of Petra Kaufmann as its chief medical officer.
Kaufmann brings extensive experience from both the biopharmaceutical industry and the U.S. National Institutes of Health, where she previously led national rare-disease research initiatives and clinical-trial infrastructure programs.
She joins Ovid from Vigil Neuroscience—recently acquired by Sanofi—where she served as Chief Medical Officer and oversaw medical, clinical, biomarker, patient advocacy, and regulatory functions.
