BMO Financial Group (BMO) on Thursday posted a profit of $2.125 billion or $2.97 per share for the fourth quarter, compared with $2.149 billion or $2.94 per share in the prior year.
Excluding one-time items, adjusted profit rose to $2.344 billion or $3.28 per share from $1.387 billion or $1.90 per share, in the prior year.
Revenue grew to C$9.341 billion from C$8.957 billion last year.
Net interest income increased to C$5.496 billion from C$5.438 billion a year ago.
Provision for credit losses was C$755 million, down from C$1.523 billion in the prior year period.
BMO Financial declared a quarterly dividend of $1.67 per share, an increase of 5% from the prior year.
