Softcat Launches GBP 45 Mln Share Buyback Programme

Softcat plc (SCT.L), a provider of IT infrastructure products and services, on Thursday announced the commencement of a share buyback programme to repurchase ordinary shares for up to 45 million pounds.

The programme begins on January 8, and is expected to be completed in the first half of the calendar year

The buyback reflects the board's confidence in Softcat's long-term prospects and is supported by its strong cash generation and financial position.

The maximum number of shares that may be repurchased under the programme is 19,994,626, in line with shareholder authorities granted at the company's annual general meeting held on December 15, 2025.

On Wednesday, Softcat closed trading 0.72% higher at 1,400 pence on the London Stock Exchange.
