SK IE Technology Co., Ltd. (361610.KS), a South Korean provider of battery materials, reported Wednesday wider net loss in its fourth quarter, but operating loss narrowed from last year, amid weak sales.
In the fourth quarter, net loss attributable to shareholders of parent company was 130.629 billion Korean won, wider than last year's loss of 100.043 billion won.
Operating loss, meanwhile, narrowed to 75.741 billion won from loss of 91.914 billion won a year ago.
Sales for the quarter fell 29.41 percent to 41.828 billion won from 59.254 billion won a year earlier. Sequentially, sales declined 47.1 percent from 79.087 billion won in the third quarter.
In South Korea, the shares closed Wednesday's regular trading at 27,500.00 won, up 3.38 percent.
