Hanwha Ocean Co., Ltd. (042660.KS), a South Korean shipbuilder, reported Wednesday lower net profit in its fourth quarter, while operating income increased from last year.
In the quarter, net income attributable to shareholders of parent company dropped 7 percent to 539.1 billion Korean won from last year's 579.5 billion won.
Operating income, however, grew 11.8 percent to 189.0 billion won from 169.0 billion won last year.
Sales dropped 0.8 percent to 3.228 trillion won from 3.253 trillion won a year ago.
In South Korea, the shares were gaining around 1.9 percent to 144,100.00 won.
