Hankook Tire & Technology Co., Ltd. (161390.KS), a tire manufacturing company, on Wednesday reported higher profit for the fourth quarter primarily helped by growth in sales.
Net income from continuing operations before income tax for the fourth quarter was 274.027 billion won, up 34.7% from 203.463 billion won in the same period last year.
Operating profit for the quarter reached 548.297 billion won, 15.9% higher than a year ago.
Net income increased 250.2% to 206.449 billion won from 58.947 billion won in the prior-year quarter.
Sales for the quarter grew115.5% to 5.456 trillion won from 2.532 trillion won last year.
