Korea Zinc Turns To Profit In Q4 On Strong Sales Growth; Stock Up

Korea Zinc Co., Ltd. (010130.KS) reported Monday a profit in its fourth quarter, compared to prior year's loss, with strong growth in sales.

In South Korea, the shares gained 4.14% on Monday's trading, to close at 1,709,000 won.

In the quarter, net income attributable to shareholders of parent company was 215.03 billion Korean won, compared to prior year's loss of 248.82 billion won.

Operating income surged 256.7 percent to 428.96 billion won from 120.25 billion won a year ago.

Sales grew 39.6% to 4.763 trillion won from 3.41 trillion won last year.
