Amorepacific Corp. (090435.KS,090430.KS), a South Korean beauty and skincare products company, reported Monday a profit in its fourth quarter, compared to prior year's loss, while operating income declined from last year.
In South Korea, the shares gained 12% on Monday's trading, to close at 55,000 won.
In the quarter, net income attributable to shareholders of parent company was 23.10 billion Korean won, compared to prior year's loss of 54.52 billion won.
Operating income fell 33 percent to 52.55 billion won from 78.48 billion won a year ago.
Sales grew 6.6% to 1.16 trillion won from 1.09 trillion won last year.
