The Taiwan stock market has tracked higher in five straight sessions, skyrocketing more than 2,950 points or 8 percent in that span. Now at a fresh record closing high, the Taiwan Stock Exchange now sits just above the 34,700-point plateau although investors are likely to lock in gains on Wednesday.
The global forecast for the Asian markets is cautiously optimistic, with technology shares likely to lead the markets higher. The European markets were mixed and flat and the U.S. bourses were up and the Asian markets figure to follow the latter lead.
