Sectra AB (STKTF,SECT_B.ST) Friday said that its third quarter profit declined 12.0 percent, impacted by 1.8 million Kroner costs for share-based incentive programs. Quarterly net sales, however, rose 5.1 percent helped by a 35 percent rise in contracted order bookings.
On the Stockholm Exchange, SECT_B.ST is currently up 13 percent on Friday's trading at 210.60 Swedish Kroner.
The Swiss technology company reported third quarter profit, excluding patent settlement, of 155.10 million Swedish Kroner or 0.80 Kroner per share, down from 176.2 million Kroner or 1.37 Kroner per share in the same period last year.
During the three-month period, net sales climbed 5.1 percent to 892.0 million Kroner from 848.4 million Kroner in the previous-year quarter. The company's operating profit declined 38.3 percent to 194.1 million Kroner from 314.7 million Kroner in the year-ago quarter.
According to Sectra AB, contracted order bookings rose 35 percent to 1.31 billion Kroner from last year quarter's 967.6 million Kroner.
