Nordex Group Secures Orders Worth 280 MW From WPD AG In Germany

Nordex Group (NRDXF.PK,NDX1.DE) Tuesday said that Wpd AG has placed an order for 40 wind turbines for nine wind projects in Germany, with a total capacity of 279.2 MW. The agreement also includes Premium Service contracts for turbine maintenance over a period of 15 years.

As per the terms of the order, Nordex will supply 36 N163/6.X turbines and four N175/6.X turbines. These turbines will be installed across wind farms located in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, North Rhine-Westphalia, Hesse, and Lower Saxony in Germany.

The German wind turbine manufacturer said that all turbines will be mounted on hybrid towers, with the N163 turbines planned at a hub height of 164 meters and the N175 turbines installed on 179-meter hybrid towers. Delivery and installation for the projects are scheduled for 2027, after which the turbines are expected to operate primarily in 7 MW mode, Nordex Group added.

On the OTC Markets, NRDXF.PK ended Monday's trading at $48.65.
