At 3.30 am ET, the Federal Statistical Office publishes Swiss producer prices for February.
At 5.00 am ET, Italy's statistical office ISTAT is scheduled to release flash inflation data for February. The preliminary estimate showed that consumer price inflation rose to 1.6 percent from 1.0 percent in January.

The Federal Reserve policy session was in focus as it was the first to be led by the new chief Kevin Warsh. In Europe, central banks of the U.K. and Switzerland announced their rate decisions. In Asia, the Bank of Japan drew attention for its policy moves, while data out of China threw some light on the state of the economy.
