Singapore Bourse May Spin Its Wheels On Thursday

The Singapore stock market has tracked higher in three straight sessions, collecting more than 150 points or 3 percent along the way. The Straits Times Index now rests just above the 5,000-point plateau although it's due for consolidation on Thursday.

The global forecast for the Asian markets is negative on pessimism over the outlook for interest rates. The European and U.S. markets were down and the Asian bourses are expected to open in similar fashion.
