Elementis Names Trudy Schoolenberg Non Executive Chair, Effective From April 29

Elementis Plc (ELM.L) Thursday announced the appointment of Trudy Schoolenberg as Non-Executive Chair, effective from the end of the Annual General Meeting to be held on April 29.

The British chemical company said that she will succeed John O'Higgins, who announced in October 2025 that he would not stand for re-election.

Schoolenberg has been serving as Non-Executive Senior Independent Director since April 2022 and brings approximately 35 years of experience across the chemicals, engineering, and products sectors, including ten years as a Senior Independent Director, it said in an official statement.

According to Elementis, Christine Soden, currently a Non-Executive Director, will assume the role of interim Senior Independent Director even while continuing her existing committee responsibilities. Additionally, it has also Elementis has appointed Mike Humphrey as an Independent Non-Executive Director, with effect from April 19.

Commenting on the appointments, Luc van Ravenstein, Chief Executive Officer said, "I would like to congratulate Trudy on her appointment as Chair. Her broad international experience, deep knowledge of the industry and respected position within Elementis make her the right leader at this important juncture for the business. I am also very pleased to welcome Mike, whose expertise will bring additional strength and depth to the Board."

On the LSE, ELM.L is down 0.52 percent on Thursday's trading at 152.00 pence.
