The Singapore stock market has moved lower in two straight sessions, sinking more than 50 points or 1 percent in that span. The Straits Times Index now rests just beneath the 4,950-point plateau and it's expected to open in the red again on Monday.
The global forecast for the Asian markets is weak on soaring crude oil prices and pessimism over the outlook for interest rates. The European and U.S. markets were down and the Asian bourses are expected to open in similar fashion.
