Metso Oyj (METSO.HE) Wednesday said that it has introduced the Outotec Robotic Split Strip, which is an advanced system for separating cathode sheets from cathode plates in copper electrorefining.
Designed for both new and existing plants, it combines a compact, flexible design with hydraulic control and robotics to improve precision, reduce waste, and support sustainability, the company said in an official statement.
The Finnish industrial machinery company said that the main benefits of the strip include a smaller, lighter footprint that lowers structural and environmental impact, reduced downtime due to fewer components and easier maintenance, and enhanced reliability through precise control of all movements.
On the Helsinki Exchange, METSO.HE is currently trading up 3.6 percent on Wednesday at 15.27 euros.
