KOSPI Due For Another Jump On Thursday

The South Korea stock market on Wednesday ended the four-day losing streak in which it had plummeted almost 600 points or 11 percent. The KOSPI now sits just beneath the 5,480-point plateau and it's expected to open to the upside again on Thursday.

The global forecast continues to be upbeat on optimism over an end to hostilities in the Middle East. The European and U.S. markets were up and the Asian bourses are expected to follow that lead.

Both consumer prices and producer costs have started to reflect the effect of supply shocks due to the Middle East conflict. In Europe, GDP data was in focus, while inflation data from China dominated the news flow in Asia.
