President Donald Trump has set a new deadline of 8 P.M. ET, Tuesday, for Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

"Tuesday, 8:00 P.M. Eastern Time!", he wrote on Truth Social Sunday afternoon.

Earlier in the day, in an expletive-laden post, Trump threatened to attack the country's power plants and bridges unless Iran opens the key energy transit lane.

"Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran. There will be nothing like it!!! Open the Fu**in' Strait, you crazy ba**ards, or you'll be living in Hell - JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah."
