Malaysia Bourse May Again Challenge 1,700-Point Level

The Malaysia stock market headed south again on Thursday, one day after ending the four-day losing streak in which it had dropped more than 30 points or 2 percent. The Kuala Lumpur Composite Index now sits just beneath the 1,690-point plateau although it's tipped to open in the green on Friday.

The global forecast for the Asian markets comes on cautious optimism for easing hostilities in the Middle East. The European markets were down and the U.S. bourses were up and the Asian markets figure to follow the latter lead.
